“A wonderful villa and guest house in charming Panglao, not far from the more touristic Alona beach. We had a very pleasant week in Panglao Villa. The swimming pool was enjoyed mostly by the children, and we all had fun at the beach volley court. Jedi and Rizal were the best – they helped us with transport, laundry, and anything we needed. So nice and service minded! Even though we were a group of 12 it never felt crowded in the house. We mostly had lunch and dinner in restaurants, so the kitchen was mainly used for breakfast. We can really recommend the “La Familia” restaurant nearby opposite the church, where we had several dinners. Thank you Vincent, Rizal and Jedi!” Ann/Hermansson Family

“Not counting our arrival and departure dates, we have been much too short (4days) in the Panglao Villa. We surely come back. The Location is perfect, the Villa it selves is just great, absolutely no complaints. The staff on standby very helpful and sweet (Rizal and Jeddy) and so fast on site when you need them, is just unbelievable. Me as a travel Agent of a big tour operator from Germany, and also as a private Person traveling around the world many times, rarely enjoyed a complete package with lots a positive surprises like the Panglao Villa. We have been 6 Adults and 3 Kids from Great Britain, Germany and our Family from Mindanaue, and all of us had a great time in Panglao Villa. Besides the Villa I never saw a clean Island like that in Philippines. The Major of Panglao, Bohol there is doing a great Job. Beaches, Streets and places are all serviced and cleaned all times, never saw any place like that in Asia bevor.” Jan / Duisburg, Germany

“The villa was great! My elderly American mom, my Filipina wife and her family had a great time along with myself. The villa was safe and quiet and very comfortable with a nice kitchen which we used to cook breakfast and dinner every night. The villa had a nice volleyball court along with a pool table which my wife’s family loved! The manager of the villa, Jedy and her husband were very nice. They arranged transportation when needed which was every day. Last thing like to add, booking of the villa was easy. Had made a mistake when I booked it and Vincent, the owner of the villa corrected the mistake with no penalties or hassle. Matter of fact, Vincent and I were corresponding back and forth quite a bit several weeks before our arrival date with some changes that were made and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend the villa.”
***AMAZING GETAWAY*** I have travelled to countries all over Europe, Asia and in the United States but not once did I ever write a review, my wife usually does. So why now?…..Well, There are some things money cannot buy that is the genuine hospitality our family experienced during our one week stay at this gorgeous villa and as a token of my gratitude I would like to extend my thanks to Vincent White (the owner), Jedy (property manager) and Rizal, Rosy and Tercy (Chef) “To call them cook would be an insult and an understatement for they have prepared an incredible feast for us”. From the moment I made an inquiry about this Villa, Vincent was very patient and immediately answered all of my questions and concerns. One of my concerns was security, comfort and cleanliness of the property for my family. The picture does not do justice, it is usually the other way around, and this place was immaculately kept clean with modern appliances and furniture (added bonus Excellent Wi-fi). Special thanks to Ms. Jeddy who has been very accommodating at our every call and needs for such a large group of 19 people. I have so many great things to say about the staff and this place but I will wrap it up before I put everyone to sleep. I highly recommend this place to a small or big family looking to spend an intimate getaway in this beautiful paradise called Panglao, Bohol and all the LUXURY, SECURITY and COMFORT in Panglao Villa! Price is very reasonable, 10 mins walk to the closest beach and less than 10 mins drive from the famous Alona Beach. Next time we come back, we will definitely stay here again without a doubt rather than staying at an overpriced 5 star hotel near Alona Beach. ***Thanks again Vincent and Jedy for an unforgettable getaway, no words can express how much we appreciate your hospitality and we will see you again next year!***
“Last week, we returned from a wonderful getaway to Panglao Island and a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable stay at Panglao Villa. From the moment we landed on the Island, the service we received from the owner and staff at Panglao villa went above and beyond. The villa was booked by another reservation our 1st night on the island, but Vincent, upon hearing that our hotel for that 1st night did not provide airport transportation, took it upon himself to pick us up and bring us to our hotel. The next day we were picked up again, and brought to the villa. The house itself was comfortable, incredibly spacious, and wonderfully tranquil. Our two-year-old loved the swings and volleyball court (i.e. a sand pit to play with his toy trucks), and we all enjoyed the privacy of having the property to ourselves, as well as the location (a quick trike ride to the beach, but not far from the local church, school, and shops). Our experience on Panglao would have been drastically different had we opted to stay at a beachside resort, and I’m so happy about the choice that we made. Jeddy was phenomenal at answering all of our questions, and any small issues that did arise (lack of hand towels and soap) were attended to immediately. Jeddy was also able to provide us with an absolutely wonderful housekeeper, Rosie, who kept the villa tidy, made us an absolutely delicious dinner one evening, found us things that the market we weren’t able to locate (such as coffee), and, best of all, was gladly willing to play with/watch our toddler on a few occasions, so that my husband and I could have a romantic dinner on the beach one evening, and a chance to snorkel Balicasag another day. Our family had a memorable, relaxing, and fun week on Panglao, and that was largely due to our choice to stay at Panglao Villa and the wonderful people we had the chance to meet there! Should our travels take us to the Philippines again, we would jump at the opportunity to return to Panglao Villa.”
“We had a REALLY big problem at the Panglao Villa…. We were WAAAAAAAAY too comfortable. We were also WAAAAAAAY too happy! We were, in addition, WAAAAAAAY too delighted!! Finally, we were WAAAAAY WAAAAAY WAAAAAY too pleased with the way we were greeted at the airport by Jedy and at the home by her husband Rizal !!! She is a doll, and Rizal was so helpful. We stopped by the super market in Tagbilaran on our way to the property for various groceries. That was in itself a unique experience and we were able to purchase so many items for breakfast, other meals, snacks, water, and other good stuff. Visa was accepted and this was a great convenience. We made two dinners and numerous breakfasts & lunches while we stayed at the Villa. Having a well stocked kitchen with modern appliances was huge for us. After growing up as an expat in Manila during the 70’s, I was also happy to report that we saw not a single bug…not a one in kitchen, bath, or bedrooms! The kitchen was clean, had bottled water that Rizal refilled for pennies, and all the comforts of a modern kitchen. After we arrived at the beautiful premises, we made chicken adobo (Hawaiian style!) A rum and coke, and we all said aloha at 9.30 our first night. We enjoyed the comfy bedrooms, as well as the quiet, peaceful and safe surrounds… Just perfect! You are running a really neat operation at the Villa and we were pleased beyond all expectations, Vincent. Thank you so much from all 6 of us for sharing your beautiful home, the aloha welcome of your family and friends, and for making us feel like an old friend right away. We loved seeing the pictures of you & Sylvia, your son and your family history. This place is just wonderful. Mahalo, salamat po…thank you! It was a delight that everything worked. Hi-speed internet, large LCD TV with DVD and lots of movies, all kitchen appliances, the beautiful Euro style freshly refurbished bathroom, the cozy living and dining areas, and the bedroom aircons. We cooled the rooms when we were home, and they worked perfectly. For touring, we did the one day Chocolate Hills (beautiful!) Butterfly farm (one hour of loveliness) the Tarsier Preserve (sweet little critters!) and the Loboc River tour. For 75 bucks plus a health tip for our courteous and informative driver, it was a great day for the 6 of us. Back to the villa, some cold beers and another great rest. For 50 bucks and tip we did the Panglao island tour including the caves at Hinagdanan, swimming and snorkeling at Alona beach, a very nice stop over at the not-in-your-face Bee Farm (one of the few places no fee was charged and no hassles by anyone). Great day. WE also enjoyed the $40 boat trip to Balicasag Island for amazing snorkeling. Be advised that a Municipality Fee is charged ($1 per person as well as a boat fee to paddle you to the snorkeling site of about $5 per person) This nickel and diming is kind of a turn-off, but the snorkeling made us forget the minor hassle. Just minutes away by walk is a wonderful massage parlor with excellent local masseuses…at about $12(tip included) for one hour of heaven. Clean, close, affordable and professional. Any of the 6 women working there were excellent. We went back 3 more times! Lots of nearby Sari-Sari stores to buy snacks, water, sodas and such, and a 5 minute trike ride got us back to any number of nice beaches where we could enjoy all the same amenities as the people we sat next to…who were paying 200+ night! All the more we appreciated the value and comfort of the Villa. The island was uncrowded and peaceful…a far cry from Boracay. Can’t compare it to that scene, but it is really lovely in a quiet, kind, and subtle manner. With warm aloha, Gary Cyndie George Linda Barney and Cora. “Our stay was a memorable one…it was like home away from home as we enjoyed our home cooked meals. Although the villa was quite a distance from Tagbilaran City itself, the trips to and fro were all worth it. “I enjoyed my stay immensely, the villa is exceptionally well equipped, clean and very peaceful. Excellent living space, luxurious kitchen/breakfast room, modern satellite tv with an extensive DVD library and very efficient aircon throughout. The booking process was easy and the local staff were brilliant, security is also first class. Large garden with sun beds and sports equipment, terrace with table and chairs for sunset drinks. In conclusion a delightful well run rental home on my favourite island!”
“A Perfect Choice. Many tourists are now preferring to rent a holiday home, more romantic if a couple and often more practical if a larger group, this villa offers great flexibility whatever your choice.
Situated in a private secluded location near to Panglao Church the villa stands detached in its own ample grounds along a 20 metre drive from a side road yet withing walking distance to local stores and the church.
The property has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated with a wonderful feeling of space and comfort. Vast living area with dining table and soft seating at the other end around a super satellite tv with an incredible library of Dvds and first class air con. The Kitchen/Breakfast room is sumptuously equipped, modern gas hob and new oven under, massive fridge and all the culinary gear you could wish for. Two good double bedrooms plus a twin bed with bunk, bath with shower over. Second bathroom/wc and washroom adjoining the villa. Outside is a large terrace with dining table and chairs, lawned area, sunbeds and badminton court (raquets/volleyball provided), pool table also.
Complete security included and a truly marvellous lady called Jedy who will organise anything for you including transport, tours and a very cheap laundry service, she’s a star!
I loved the villa and it obviously does well as very little accommodation of this size on the island. Alona Beach is ten minutes drive, Island City Mall in Tagbilaran is handy for food etc and the owners provide a free shuttle service for pick up and departure.
Very good value indeed and a very smooth no hassle booking service. Wi-fi among the fastest and most reliable experienced in the Phils.”

“Good location, nice garden with BBQ and Pool table, great peoples taking care of the house. We spent 4 days in this wonderful place, we couldnt find a better place to stay in Panglao. 5 min from nice beaches in a very quiet and green area a bit away from the crowdy alona beach, the house is clean, comfortable and well equipped with modern air cond and kitchen appliances. I highly recommend it. Thank you very much to Jedy and Olrian for giving us a wonderful trip in Bohol!!”
“Perfect for those looking for peace and quiet! My party and I (4 adults) had a very enjoyable stay at the Panglao Villa. Jedy, the property manager, was extremely helpful and accommodating! She arranged for all our transportation needs, from private car drivers to boat reservations for island hopping, even working miracles when we asked for a seaport pickup at the last minute. She would also stop by in the evenings to make sure we were okay. Orlan, the guard, was also instrumental in making us feel at home, answering the many questions we had about the local area. The property itself was very clean and well maintained, we found it more spacious than the impression given by the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking ware, more than enough to produce a home cooked meal. The bathroom was cleanly, with adequate hot water as well. We were absolutely delighted to have wi-fi in the villa! What impressed us the most was how peaceful our stay was; the villa is situated far enough from the larger roads and tourist traps to be a quiet retreat, but we did not feel isolated and had easy access to nearby resorts and beaches. All in all, a terrific stay, and a place I would readily recommend to anyone planning to visit Bohol/Panglao!”

“Past total 6 nights there. Very comfortable, with big kitchen, living room and especially the large garden. Everyone of my family enjoy it. The only disadavantage is the aircon in bedroom is a little bit noisy when sleeping.”

This is a lovely villa and a great place for a family. It is fully equipped with everything needed and a short walk to an interesting village. The property manager was very helpful in arranging excursions. The guard was also very accomodating in providing and finding extra help for a very reasonable additional compensation. It should be noted that the 2nd bathroom is in the guest house. Also, a 2010 review mentions a guards wife who can be engaged to cook. The guards have changed so additional help is not necessarily available, but it helps to ask at the beginning of the stay. Overall a great deal of room for the money: modern, comfortable and charming. Thanks for a lovely vacation.”

Owner reply: The guard and his wife are no longer connected with us but we have replacement people who are equally competent as them. We have a new guard, and we also have some people on call in case they need someone to assist with household chores. It’s best also to inform us ahead or the manager upon arrival so we can book the person for them.

“The property is excellent. Couple of things I guess on the down side, one being the bedroom accomodation, whilst very well geared up for a single family, ie wife, husband and a couple of kids, they do not lend themselves to three couples – with only one double bed, and two singles in another that cannot be pushed together. The on site manager looked after us exceptionally well.”

“Cannot say too much as we had to cancel this part of the holiday due to our yougest boy having gone down with what was thought to be Dengue by the doctors but after many test found to have a bad virus but was admitted to hospital and was not released until last friday. However I would not hestitate to re book or recommend to friends after talking to Jedy the Villa manager.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa! The property manager Jedy went above and beyond in ensuring that we had everything we needed and accommodated us accordingly. She was very helpful throughout our entire stay. The area is beautiful and we truly enjoyed the local feel of the Villa and the location (it was nice not to be surrounded by the constant hustle and bustle of the resort atmosphere). It is close enough to popular beaches and snorkelling locations and transportation, whether by rental car or public transit, is very easy. We would definitely recommend this location to others visiting the area if they want to get away from the resort atmosphere and enjoy the seclusion that the Villa offers! Thanks again for everything. Highly recommended!”

“We truly enjoyed our stay at the Villa! The beautiful grounds and surroundings gave it a real comfortable feel, much better than the hustle and bustle found at most resorts. The staff was excellent and Jedy, the property manager, went above and beyond in ensuring all our needs were taken care of. The location is good for those who want to avoid the crowds and who don’t mind traveling a bit to get to local attractions (whether groomed beaches, or other sites on Panglao or Bohol). Local transportation was easily accessible if needed and it was also easy to find our way around with the use of a rental car. We would definitely recommend the Villa to others travelling to Bohol, and would use it again ourselves! A wonderful vacation!”

“Would I recommend this holiday rental to my best friend? Absolutely!”
“The villa was perfect for our family holiday. There was space for the children to lounge around, great DVD collection and decent a/c in the bedrooms. Walled garden meant that we knew where they were at all times. It’s all beatifully maintained. The villa is about 5K away from Alona beach (best diving shops) but I never had a problem getting a 30 peso backie on a motorbike or a 50 peso ride in a tricycle at any time of the day or night. Panglao village seems to be a very quiet spot and we were bemused as to why the villa needed a 24hr guard, however, the guard’s wife is available for 200 pesos a day to wash your clothes, shop, cook meals if you like and tidy up for you. She is worth it. There is some OK sandy beach nearby Panglao Villa but my family tended to travel to the Bohol beach club each day for their raked sand beach, palm trees and choice of pools, 250 peso day membership. We were very well looked after from collection right the way through to drop off at the Tagbillaran airport. Downsides Double bed was a bit soft for my liking, no guest file of suggestions for family outings, only 1 bistro restaurant in walking distance from the villa. All in all this is a place that we could recommend to our friends.”

Owner reply: We have now put a list in the villa of places to visit as day trips, plus, if you walk 5 mins further along the beach, there are three beach resorts that serve food. I have now put a map in the villa so guests know how to find them.

“As a family of 5 we had a fantastic time at Panglao Villa. The property is beautiful, maintained to a very high standard and kept clean. Having a badminton court and pool table were really beneficial in keeping the children busy and giving us all an activity in the evenings. Bohol is a great place with plenty to do, we went dolphin watching, swimming, snorkelling, walking through the mangrove, visited the Chocolate Hills and saw the world’s smallest monkey. The local village is 5 minutes walk and the people are very friendly, our children made friends with the locals. A minor disappointment was the local beach which was not suitable for swimming from; however great beaches are only about 15 minutes drive away. The real+++ though was Carlos, the caretaker; a fun character he was so very helpful at all times and even arranged trips for us. Yes, we would defintely return to Panglao Villa.”

Owner reply: The villa is situated at the beginning of a peninsula which gives you the choice of two local beaches both only 12 mins walk away. One is not suitable for swimming as it is only very shallow. The other is suitable for swimming. At approximately 15 meters you come to deeper water where there is a marine sanctuary with a coral reef. Here you can go snorkelling and see beautiful sea life. There is a picture of this beach on the website.
